Last Will and Testament

Protect what you love with a reach beyond your life

Design an estate plan tailored to you and your life -
what's important to you, and your final wishes

Everyone should have at least a basic estate plan. If you don’t have one, then your State’s default rules will apply to your estate upon your death. Do you know who stands to inherit? What if something happened to that first person (or persons)? The government prescribes an order of operations for such matters. If you blindly trust the judgment of your legislature then you should have no worries and certainly don’t need a Last Will and Testament.

We’re willing to bet that isn’t the case for you, though. You strike us as someone who has led a unique life and has preferences about such things including the disposition of your estate. And if we’re right, you need a Last Will and Testament, at the very least.

Avail yourself of our flat-rate estate plan package which includes a Last Will and Testament, Power of Attorney, Healthcare Proxy, and Living Will. This will cover you under myriad circumstances and remove any doubt or question as who is in charge, what you want, and if you should die, what should happen to your property. Don’t leave it to your relatives, friends, or loved ones to figure out (or not) who who makes your medical decisions and keeps the wheels of your finances and investments running in case of your incapacity.

Gather Initial Information

What are your goals?

Is there any type of provision you already know that you want?

Are you married? Interested in a mirror set of documents for your spouse?

For a nominal fee a mirror set of documents includes drafting and execution of an entire second set of estate planning documents – but with mirror provisions. So where you appoint your spouse as executor or agent, the other set of documents will have your spouse appointing you.

Who is to be appointed to the roles?

Do you have successor/backup nominations?

Do you want any restrictions to the power of attorney?

Should it be springing or durable?

Draft and Review

Drafting the last will and testament and supplementary documents in the package. Revising the documents based on any changes requested

Our last will and testament first drafts are usually pretty stellar (because they’ve already undergone some proofing, editing, and revision), but this process takes some time and we want to make sure that we captured everything you want in the last will and testament.

Will Signing Day

Let us know whether we’ll be holding the documents for you or if you have other plans. We recommend having one of our attorneys supervise this.
